WE WANT OUR MONEY BACK! Dir Economic Council Lawrence Summers Protested!

Why Do We Trust Those Who Were Wrong? Why Ignore Those Who Are Right?

Welcome to Mississauga

Alaska has its "Hockey Mom Governor", Sarah Palin, who became the Republican vice presidential candidate in 2008. Canada has its "Hockey Playing Mayor" She is 88-year old Hazel McCallion and she is the mayor of Mississauga, Ontario, a suburb of Toronto. She is a former professional hockey player who grabs her skates, hockey stick and puck and still hits the ice almost every day in the winter.
Mississauga is the sixth largest city in Canada and is debt free with $700 million (Canadian) in reserves. McCallion has been Mississauga's mayor for 31 years, holding office since 1978. She is affectionately called Hurricane Hazel ; and in the last election received 92% of the vote.
Mississauga is now the fourth most populous incorporated municipality on the Great Lakes, surpassing both Milwaukee and Cleveland over the last decade. From 2001 to 2006 the population continued to increase 9.1%. Mississauga also boasts one of the largest corporate/financial districts in Canadawith major international companies having their Canadian headquarters located in the region including Microsoft, Wal Mart, General Electric and Pepsico.
Her secret to success is "look out for your people, keep taxes down and bring lots of jobs into the city." She has a great sense of humor, boundless energy and doesn't plan to retire. This is a mayor to die for.

Even More Buyer's Remorse

"When an idiot pretends to be smart- all people laugh but when a smart person pretends to be an idiot - all people start to worry.

"Russian saying

"I am not laughing anymore. It's not funny.

It's not funny when President Obama betrays the Constitution and refuses to prosecute the members of the previous administration for their crimes. It is not funny when Professor Jonathan Turley on MSNBC tells us to 'forget your civil rights because those are not protected anymore.' That's now? Not under Bush? Not funny at all.

"It's not funny when it becomes obvious that Eric Holder sold his soul to the Devil when he agreed on a deal to let Sen. Stevens off the hook and denigrate his own office. It's not funny when after that the Justice Department helps(!) to promote the impunity of the illegal wiretapping.

"It's not funny when our President in total ignorance and malice promises in Prague to continue the infamous ABM program although the whole world knows that program to be a stupid and dangeorus provocation, nothing more.

"It's not funny when we now see that the real group which brought Obama and Co. to power are Big Pharma and Big Agro. The unbelievable vehemence and hurry of the stem research fed funding, NAIS and HR 845 speak loud and clear about whom does Obama oblige.

"It's not funny when the Dem administration in total stupidity and malice attacks the most skillful groups of the US workforce- automotive workers, aerospace engineering core, IAM, etc. Our government not only does not want to stop the avalanche of layoffs of those people but in fact promotes it in all possible ways.

"It's not funny when a former bouncer and a petty gangster becomes a Foreign Minister of Israel, proclaims openly the extremist views and hatemongering and our Secretary of State... keeps nice and silent. Remember what happened when Hamas was elected?

"It's not funny when our President calls the Iraqi war 'an achievement'. It is a dishonorable atrocity and a lie.

"It's not funny when our current administration openly ignores all the main figures of the former anti-Bush movement, when it does not care for the truth of 9/11, when Cindy Sheehan, Vincent Bugliosi, Ray McGovern, Scott Ritter and Greg Palast are not welcome, when the horrible shadow of lawlessness still hangs over us.

"It's not funny when Karl Rove spits on Congress and they.. say, 'Thank you.'

"It's not funny when Nancy Pelosi, the queen of lying eyes writes and publishes a book to guide our daughters. God save us from harm.

"It's not funny when our 'Defense' budget is an offense to decency and common sense, a monstrosity beyond belief.

"It's not funny when our government openly promotes the ' robot war' and the usage of the drones. It is madness. If we are not very liked now just imagine how the people of the world will react to that strategy. Our heads and heads of our children will be on pikes throughout the world. There will be an open season on all Americans, man, woman and child. We will be destroyed.

"It's not funny when so -called scentific advisers openly entertain throwing the polluting particles into the upper atmosphere to 'reflect the radiation'. That's lunacy. Lunacy should not be discussed. Mind you, I repeat: those people are the enemies of the US and Humanity and are to be confined to the asylum."

Spare any change???

Obama Is Naive - Sorry To Say This

"I am sorry America, but our new leader is going to down in history as the weakest president this nation has ever had.

"Hilary Clinton was right. When your phone ring at 4.00AM in the morning...who would you rather have pick it up? Is he ready to serve? Recent incidents points me to say a big 'NO'.

"He is more interested in keeping his celebrity image and appeasement message than he is in strong leadership. His wife is new a super model.lol. Obama can talk to the press and deal with the congress but he is weak in dealing with real world leaders. Do not rush me. I will mention those issues at the end of this article. Just read on...."

She voted for the guy.

President Obama You're Beginning to Look like Bush in a Good Guy's Clothing

"Dear President Obama;

"I'm writing you this letter with the friendliest of intentions. I, like many of my fellow Americans, understand that not every problem faced by the people of this country is the fault of the government. But, since no one single entity has the sway that's enjoyed by government, I'd liketo voice some of my concerns, here in a public forum, where responses are welcome from all.

"I'd like to believe that the campaign promises you made were genuine. When I heard you on the campaign trail you talked of change coming to Washington. You promised to close Guantanamo. You said you were going to end the war in Iraq and Afghanistan. You promised to protect Free-Market Capitalism.

"But, President Obama, I fear that you've done what countless other American politicians have done. You've made the promises to the American People that they wanted to hear, to get elected, and now that you're in office you're going to do otherwise anyway.

"Guantanamo's still being ran the same as usual. One of the first things you did, as far as the war is concerned, was to send more troops to Afghanistan. Recent legislation doesn't resemble anything that's going to protect our Liberty Loving Republic. No. In fact it appears quite the opposite.

"Mr Obama is it simply too dangerous to close Guantanamo Bay Prison? Is that why it's not been done yet? If that's true, then what you'd said on the campaign trail must not have been very well researched. Silly me. I thought, these past eight years, that making bad choices on bad information was a 'Republican' trick.

"President Obama, were you to explain to me, that the situation overseas simply requires more troops I can understand. It's a nasty war against a bunch of folks that see dying in a ridiculous 'jihad' as a tremendous honor. But then, doesn't that beg the question, that your campaign promises weren't based on reality in the first place? Were you just telling us all what you thought we were wanting to hear?"

Read the rest of this ranting letter at the title link above.

Stay Home, Mr. President

"Will someone please tell President Barack Obama the election is over and he won? He does not have to campaign any more. Stay home and get the job done.

"Mr. and Mrs. America voted for you because you promised to help the worker in the street as well as the man who owned the company, yet you are turning your back on the man in the street. You are bailing out the man on Wall Street, banks, AIG. When is it our turn?

"There are bridges, roads and levees in disrepair. Ever hear about the WPA? It worked many years ago and can again.

"Workers are being laid off, including those with families who are trying to rent a room so their children will have a place to sleep because that is all they can afford.

A"re you in over your head? Do you need help? I think you are way over your head. You need to talk to someone like Warren Buffett and Bill Gates on how to run a business. America is a business, like it or not. If we do not have a good bottom line — we don’t — we will be in foreclosure soon.

"You may have run as a Democrat, but you are neither a Democrat or a Republican now. You are the president of the United States of America. Start acting like one, not the little boy who has a role in a Broadway movie.

"Stay home and get this job done. Do what you promised to do and were elected to do. Oh, yes, I am a Democrat. However, I did not vote for you. I should have voted for Hillary."

More comments:

"Arlene, if BO were to spend four years out gripping and grinning at town hall meetings instead of actually doing any damage in Washington, America would be much better off. Maybe we can convince him to just stick to working on his bowling game in the basement."

"No, let Obama leave the country for about 4 years.
The stock market might go up and stay there!
Years ago it was observed that presidents that slept in, and took naps during the day caused less trouble, and the government ran better."

Still Love Those Comments

"Ooops...!
Obama's plans for a large residual force of up to 50,000 troops — about one-third of the force now there — who will train Iraqis, protect U.S. assets and personnel and conduct anti-terror operations. Thet doesnt even include the 25 acre Spy and American Puppet supporter Embassy...I mean come on..50,000 residual American troops..I think we were lied too. Politicians..Will I never learn"

"knew I should have voted for McCain... n/t"

Hope Abandoned: Obama Protects and Promotes CIA Torture Mavens

"It is understandable that people hunger desperately for change after the open, scalding evils of the Bush years. It is understandable that they would seize on an attractively packaged figure who made a few progressive noises, carried a great deal of genuinely symbolic weight due to his race, and was more personable, cool and articulate than his god-awful predecessor. It is understandable that many people would want to give this figure the benefit of the doubt, to turn a blind eye to the many warning signs that emerged during the campaign, and hope for the best. After all, who would not rather live in hope?

"But hope must be grounded in reality; and it must be invested in the right place. When reality gives it the lie, then it must be abandoned. There is no hope to be found in the Obama Administration: no hope for genuine change, no hope for a clean break (or any kind of break) from the relentless and ruthless promotion of empire, oligarchy and militarism. By his own choices — his appointments, his policies, his court actions, his rhetoric — Barack Obama has demonstrated beyond all doubt his sincere and abiding commitment to 'continuity' in the most pernicious and corrosive elements of America’s lawless hyper-state. To place one’s hope in such a figure is a crippling, disastrous folly."

insulting, debasing, and disempowering

"Chicago Slim's use of a behavioural 'dream team' to manipulate voters is creepy enough. What is worse - much worse - is the subtext of the Time piece: Obama knows best and you, the teaming masses, are stupid. Of course, this is the central experience of Clinton supporters who tried to inject counter points in to the Obama machine.

"YOU ARE STUPID.
YOU ARE RACIST.
YOU ARE UNEDUCATED.
YOU DON'T 'GET' IT.

"The techniques used during the campaign will continue for as long as they are seen to be working.

"They are effective - to a point. Most people do join 'the tribe's' endeavors, whatever they may be. At a certain point people watch American Idol because other people watch American Idol.

"To counter this is the remarkable number of people who simply never "got" Obama. I am one.

"To illustrate: On 3 counts I find the coverage of Chicago Slim suspect.

"1. He did not 'win' the Democratic nomination. He took it. Clinton received more votes and sans the Florida/Michigan DNC coup and the footlicking Obamamedia, she would have won. A majority of Democrats preferred Clinton. That is fact.

"2. In an economic tornado last November Obama only mustered just over half the voters. 47% of us voted for someone else. This is utterly unimpressive when 8 years of Bush and rampant economic fear is taken into account.

"3. Obama's current popularity - at about 60% - is continually reported as 'overwhelming'. It is not. It is to be expected at this point and hardly unique. The near immediate (in political terms) rise of his disapproval ratings is more telling. GOP partisans almost uniformly disapprove and 52% of independents do now as well. He is hovering at 60% by virtue of overwhelming Democratic support. It takes much longer for the most committed to own and admit to buyer's remorse. None of this equates to 'overwhelming' popularity. It equates to 60% of the population thinking he's a 'good guy'. Fewer like what he's doing.

"What interests me is the substantial number who never bit the Obama apple. The behavioral dream team failed on this count - in both the nominating process and the General. Even with his 'white papers' on group behavior he still needed caucus packing and Donna Brazille to shove him over the top. It is not a leap to say if you haven't ingested the kool aid yet, you probably never will.

"Good for you. Keep it up. Everyday those of us who opposed this man are being proven correct."

Obama’s Easter Message: America Arrogant, Derisive, Divisive… and Not Christian

LOS ANGELES- During his recent trip to Europe and the Muslim nation of Turkey, President Barack Obama told the Europeans that the U.S. has been “arrogant, derisive and divisive.” During an address to the Turkish Parliament, President Obama also said, “We [Americans] do not consider ourselves a Christian nation….” Rev. Jesse Lee Peterson, Founder and President of BOND Action, Inc., released the following statement responding to the President’s remarks:

“President Obama is mischaracterizing America’s great history as a force for good which is a direct result of our nations Judeo-Christian values. It’s disturbing that just days before Easter, Obama would go to a predominantly Muslim nation and deny the truth about our Christian identity.

“Mr. President, your apology tour will not deter al-Qaeda. You are weakening this country and inviting our enemies to attack. Obama’s comments degrading America sounds like a page out of Rev. Jeremiah Wright Jr.’s black liberation theology. It’s now clearly apparent that Obama’s mentors Rev. Wright, Saul Olinsky and other godless American haters have profoundly influenced Mr. Obama’s opinion of this country.

“It’s troubling that the President is uttering these lies about a nation he has sworn to lead and protect. Barack Obama’s recent remarks coupled with his actions over the past two months leave no doubt that it is he who is arrogant and derisive, not the American people.”

BOND Action, Inc. is a 501 (c) (4) cultural action organization, which exists to educate, motivate and rally Americans to greater involvement in the moral, cultural and political issues that threaten our great country. Woolsey splits with Obama on war bill

Mutiny?

"Rep. Lynn Woolsey (D-CA), Co-Chair of the Congressional Progressive Caucus, is the first — but likely not the last — liberal Dem to blast the Obama administration's $83.4 billion war spending plan."

If Obama was still a Senator, he would have voted against it.

Reparations for gay Americans

You think this is a joke? Click the link above.

No money, no honey???

Love those comments:

"Actually, come to think of it I think the writer of this article should get reparations. Clearly the educational system has failed him completely because only an idiot would throw something like this against the wall to see if it sticks. He should get checks from the taxpayers for the next 30 years to compensate him for the horrendous education he received during his formative years that allowed him to develop a thought as asinine as reparations for gays. I mean, how traumatic his education must have been for him to think that anyone deserves my tax dollars just because they had a tough life filled with obstacles.

"And while we were at it, my ancestors were belittled and marginalized at the turn of the century for being Irish. They were denied access to the best jobs and public services based on their ethnicity. Can I have some money too please? While we are at it, checks for everyone! I mean, it's only tax dollars right?"

"I just can't even comprehend the state of mind of the writer who would suggest this. I am 100% behind gay rights and gay marraige but paying people because they've had a rough road to go is just beyond the pale.

"You fail to answer two of the most fundamental questions:
1) Where do you draw the line? Blacks and Gays aren't the only people to experience some kind of oppression in this country. Does this mean that it is open season on reparations for anyone who hasn't had their path of life paved in gold? You have no imagination if you think Blacks and Gays are the only people who have ever had to overcome obstacles.

"2) Who pays for all this? Contrary to the belief of our current president, the Federal Government is not an endless piggy bank. Those are in fact tax dollars of which I've paid many over the years. If you feel gays have been mistreated, go take up a collection and put some of your own skin in the game rather than telling other people that they should pay."

"Please help me understand....are you saying that the gays and lesbians of America have suffered the same pain and torture as the hundreds of thousands of African Americans who were held in slavery and then denied as human beings for so long? Or the hundreds of thousands of Native Americans who were forcibly removed from their homes, killed, stolen from, and had their entire culture suppressed? Or the millions of Jews who were rounded up and exterminated in the Nazi death camps? Please tell me that you are not that naive. Please tell me that you are not under any circumstances demeaning the suffering of hundreds of thousands of people by suggesting that the homosexuals of America deserve the same type of reparations. Oh wait I do understand and you should be ashamed of even suggesting this!"

"For this POS to even remotely attempt to equate his agenda with Holocaust survivors and/or Japanese internment camp survivors is sufficient to dismiss him out of hand. Another creep with his hand out."

"What is next? Reparations for the disabled who were denied access to employment because of discrimination and no wheelchair ramps? Lest we forget, there is also the displaced homemakers who were traded in for younger trophy wives and had to re-enter the workforce at lower paying jobs because of age discrimination! Are we to pay reparation to them also? Then there are those from the inner cities who were denied equal education (according to Farakhan and Jackson) and could not even get into college since they did not gradauate from college and were killed in drive-by shootings by gangs. Are we to be held responsible for "wrongful death" and owe reparation to their families? Where will all this end? NONE of this reparation insanity makes ANY sense. Where is the personal responsibility and accountability in any and all of these scenarios? It is time to return to the basics. We all have choices to make and these choices have consequences. We all have to face them!"

"I'm under 5' tall and I feel discriminated against every time I try to get something from the top shelf at the grocery store. One day, a can or a jar is going to fall on my face and break my glasses and probably my nose. Can I get compensation from somebody? I'm also fat, but that of course is my own fault. Must be some reparations somewhere for all the years I've struggled to get things from the top shelf in the grocery store. Oh yeah, besides that, I have very small feet, but trying to find nice shoes that fit is terrible. Most of what is my size is in the children's dept. but they don't have enough support in them for a fat person. And the styles are ridiculous for someone who is a senior citizen. Do shoe manufacture's think if you have small feet you must go barefooted? And every time I buy a pair of pants, I have to have them shortened, which of course costs even more money. Yup, I think I'm due some compensation from somebody for all my trials."

"As an anti-anthropoid dyslexic vegetarian AIDs infested polygamist gay goat humper, I believe my claims for reparations should be at the top of the list. Oooooh, I can see big bucks coming my way."

"Every group has people that get treated like crap. I am a Christian and I get ripped on all the time. Should I get money? I think The Eagles said it best with their song 'Get Over It' with the line 'you haven't been the same since you had your little crash, but you might feel better if they gave you some cash.' What a joke! Get a job (if you can find one) like everyone else. If you can't find work here, try Bravo or Style Network, they obviously don't discriminate."

"I'm overweight. It's tough for me to get pants that fit because I'm short. I've suffered immensely. My address is not changed, so since you're sending checks to AIG, GM, CITI, etc., please forward my immediately to help soften my suffering."

"The audacity of this man is stunning. 'All the funds in the national treasury could not make full amends?' Is that because there are no funds in the treasury, or because he thinks the US should print money until all the homosexuals in America get the chunk of change their entitled to?

"This is absolutely galling. I have had homosexuals for supervisors, co-workers, college roommates, fraternity brothers, fellow soldiers, neighbors, and friends, and none of them have been impoverished or downtrodden. Madison Ave and the media cater to this behavioral minority because they have MONEY! For this reason, I have always thought the homosexual lobby's co-opting of the Civil Rights agenda to be shameful; I have yet to see a homosexual living in poverty, living in a homosexual ghetto, denied the ability to earn a living, denied the right to vote, denied the right to live wherever they want, or any other indicia of discrimination for an IMMUTABLE characteristic."

"Well I'm gay, and I think reparations - for anyone - is a stupid concept and a waste of time. How can a society allocate money to gays or blacks or whomever else has been treated unfairly? Life isn't fair... all one can do is fight for change.

"And fight for change the world we ARE... Make no mistake about it. Regardless of how small minded you are or how you misinterpret the word of Jesus Christ - we will be equal in the eyes of the law as we already are in His eyes."

"I want reparations because I was born and raised in Detroit. Here are my reasons; The local government has been corrupt my entire life, the government is not helping the main source of economic trade (autos), and I am white, which is the minority in Detroit. Pay up!!!

"doesn't sound so fair does it?

"I got an idea, stop blaming everyone else for life. Life happens, get use to it."
