Obama: "Thank You, Saul Alinsky"

Tactics

“Tactics are those conscious deliberate acts by which human beings live with each other and deal with the world around them. … Here our concern is with the tactic of taking; how the Have-Nots can take power away from the Haves.” p.126

Always remember the first rule of power tactics (pps.127-134):

1. “Power is not only what you have, but what the enemy thinks you have.”

2. “Never go outside the expertise of your people. When an action or tactic is outside the experience of the people, the result is confusion, fear and retreat…. [and] the collapse of communication.”

3. “Whenever possible, go outside the expertise of the enemy. Look for ways to increase insecurity, anxiety and uncertainty.” (This happens all the time. Watch how many organizations under attack are blind-sided by seemingly irrelevant arguments that they are then forced to address.)

4. “Make the enemy live up to its own book of rules. You can kill them with this, for they can no more obey their own rules than the Christian church can live up to Christianity.”

5. “Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon. It is almost impossible to counteract ridicule. Also it infuriates the opposition, which then reacts to your advantage.”

6. “A good tactic is one your people enjoy.”

7. “A tactic that drags on too long becomes a drag. Man can sustain militant interest in any issue for only a limited time….”

8. “Keep the pressure on, with different tactics and actions, and utilize all events of the period for your purpose.”

9. “The threat is usually more terrifying than the thing itself.”

10. “The major premise for tactics is the development of operations that will maintain a constant pressure upon the opposition. It is this unceasing pressure that results in the reactions from the opposition that are essential for the success of the campaign.”

11. “If you push a negative hard and deep enough, it will break through into its counterside… every positive has its negative.”

12. “The price of a successful attack is a constructive alternative.”

13. “Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.” In conflict tactics there are certain rules that [should be regarded] as universalities. One is that the opposition must be singled out as the target and ‘frozen.’…

“…any target can always say, ‘Why do you center on me when there are others to blame as well?’ When your ‘freeze the target,’ you disregard these [rational but distracting] arguments…. Then, as you zero in and freeze your target and carry out your attack, all the ‘others’ come out of the woodwork very soon. They become visible by their support of the target…’

“One acts decisively only in the conviction that all the angels are on one side and all the devils on the other.” (pps.127-134)

If You’re Conservative, You Ain’t Black

"Remember Harry Alford, the head of the Black Chamber of Commerce? This summer he laid into Barbara Boxer hammer and tong, accusing her of “Vile Jim Crow” and comparing her attitude to that of Mississippi in 1954. Boxer apparently believed Harry Alford should be following the party line and let Obama’s crew do whatever they want to do where the environment is concerned.

"The Democrats had proposed a plan to produce carbon credits and let folks like George Soros, Al Gore and John Edwards, purchase them wholesale through Wall Street and then turn around and add millions to their portfolios by selling those credits to the local power company. The really nasty bit is that the government would require those companies to buy the credits whether they like it or not. It has been estimated that your electric bill would go up at least 25% because of this. Isn’t that neat?

"Boxer was shocked that Harry Alford didn’t think and act like other black leaders, exclaiming, 'But, you’re black!' That is when Harry really let her have it."

You ain't acting like the good negras on the plantation!

Soros: Republic Enemy #1

"Soros is a real life version of Dr. Evil—with Obama in the role of Mini-Me. Which is not as humorous as it might at first sound. In fact, it’s bone-deep chilling."

Obama: Canada’s healthcare system is “too radical”

"When President Barack Obama addressed a joint session of Congress last week in a desperate attempt to push his healthcare agenda through, he described Canada’s single payer healthcare as too much of a radical shift from the current American medical system.

"Gee Barry, do you think that when the government of Canada first became involved in the medical care of its citizens it was by way of a single payer system? Okay you probably do but the reality is that Canada’s present single payer healthcare was not designed or created – it evolved over time into what it is today."

and

"Among the many rights that Canadians enjoy is the ability to eat a pizza with double spicy sausage and hot peppers, wash it down with a case of beer and then go to a doctor the next day because they’re not feeling well – for free."

Obama’s Direct and Lucrative Ties to ACORN

"Now, however, video tapes of ACORN’s willingness to assist in setting up brothels with foreign children to be used as sex slaves and promises from ACORN workers as to how to lie to the IRS and scam the system have emerged on the internet. Videos of ACORN sleaze from no fewer than four cities have been shown and more are said to exist—and are promised to be shown soon. This is the same—if not larger due to the ObamaGrants via his 'stimulus' bill to the criminal organization—ACORN that Obama said would 'shape his presidential agenda.' Could this be what Obama is attempting to gain total control of the Internet and scrub all information detrimental to him? You betcha’!

"Is it any wonder that the Obama presidency is shaping up to be the most corrupt and most oppressive anti-American administration in USA history?"

and

"As a reminder, the below are only a few of the direct ties and activities that the Obama pretender-to-the-throne has engaged in with ACORN. Many may now view them with newly refreshed eyes:

•In a number of crucial cases, Obama was the Attorney for the Chicago ACORN chapter and he used them to assist him in his run for the Illinois State Senate in 1996

•In 1992, prior to his working as ACORN’s attorney, Obama was Executive Director of ACORN subsidiary “Project Vote” Obama trained ACORN workers

•While sitting on the board of the Woods Foundation, Obama and domestic terrorist William Ayers—who is also a major Obama fundraiser—arranged for grants for ACORN

•While both on the board of Chicago’s Annenberg Challenge—Ayers and Obama with Obama as Chairman—funds were funneled to ACORN

•In his November 2007 speech to ACORN, Obama stated: 'I’ve been fighting alongside ACORN on issues you care about my entire career. Even before I was an elected official, when I ran Project Vote voter registration drive in Illinois, ACORN was smack dab in the middle of it, and we appreciate your work.'

•In his run for the Democrat presidential nomination, Obama paid ACORN subsidiary 'Citizen’s Services, Inc.' over $830,000 to engage in ACORN ‘get out the vote’ activities (these would later be called the Obama-ACORN Voter Fraud Alliance)

•ACORN is falsely registered as 'non-partisan,' as its leader Maude Hurd endorsed Obama for president

•Tax dollars collected from US citizens are paying for this Obama and Democrat Party fraud voter fraud group. Did you know that?"

No Double-Standard Here

"I have to laugh though, at one line in the above editorial: 'O’Keefe’s hidden-camera methods are distasteful, and the extent to which his videos were edited is unknown.'

"As opposed to every episode of 60 Minutes that have aired on CBS since the show debuted in 1968? As Jonah Goldberg wrote in early 2001, before 9/11 and the birth of the Blogosphere:

"'60 Minutes has used secret cameras for decades and earned awards and ratings for it. But when 60 Minutes used a hidden camera to snoop on another journalist a few years ago, heads exploded in the hallowed halls of elite journalism. Why? Because we don’t do that sort of thing to our own. We only screw outsiders. Why do you think the media despised Linda Tripp so? It wasn’t just that she made life for Bill Clinton so uncomfortable; she was a scab, using the very techniques that thousands of journalists use each and every day. And she did it to protect herself! Nevertheless, when a private citizen employs such tactics she’s seen as an immoral betrayer of a friend. When a journalist does it, she’s a 'news hound' — and an ethical one at that.'"

Jimmy Carter, Read Sidney Hook!

"Let me return to Carter’s 'based on racism' comment. In fact, the operative 'R' word here is not racism but revulsion. Rep. Wilson’s outburst was an expression of outrage, frustration, and revulsion at Obama’s studied mendacity. (And note, by the way, that it is perfectly OK for the President to accuse others of being liars and worse.) But Carter played the race card for the same reason that Charlie Rangel did when people stated asking about why he understated his income to the IRS by $500,000 or why Henry Louis Gates did when he was arrested for disorderly conduct by Sgt. James Crowley. In our culture, the charge of racism is not only a conversation-stopper it is a thought-stopper. We cannot publicly tell the truth about race, so the charge of racism always carries with it not only an element of intimidation, but also an element of exposure. Everyone knows that Al Sharpton, say, is a mountebank, but we must be chary of saying so because of his race. Ditto with Henry Louis Gates: his scholarly accomplishments are modest, to say the least, but we must not point that out because of his race."
